What is a Google Account, and why do I need one?

The Waltz Lab's page of video submissions is served on Google's appspot.  Therefore you will need a Google account (also called a Gmail account) to view the video submissions.

If you use Gmail, this is your Gmail address. Or, your ISP account may already be linked to Google, and you may already be logged in. The easiest way to check whether you're already set up is just to click on the View Submissions link and see if you're prompted to sign in.

If you don't have a Google account, getting one is easy and free.  Read more information on Google accounts. Then when you're ready, Sign Up For a Google Account.

Some people wonder if this means they will have to switch over to using gmail as their e-mail client, abandoning their current one.  No, you're allowed to acquire a gmail address and never use it for checking e-mail.  Simply having a gmail address, even if you never use it, will allow you view the videos on the Waltz Lab site.

Remember the password that you enter when you get your gmail account.  You may need it when logging in to view the videos.
